    Description

The John Langan Band are a dynamic trio, with a sound that is rooted in Celtic Folk but encompasses Balkan, Roma, Gypsy Swing and Flamenco. The band met in Glasgow and has been playing together for 7 years. Their performances are high energy, unhinged, and musically extravagant, as they take traditional acoustic idioms and deliver them with a punk abandonment and virtuosic flare.

Having played over 100 gigs in the past year alone, the band have now established themselves across the UK as being one of the best live Folk bands around. The band have already confirmed 15 UK festival performances for summer 2015 with gigs at Glastonbury, Shambala, Broadstairs Folk Week and Secret Garden Party. May 2015 will see the release of the bands new EP.

'The John Langan Band offer a collection of songs and tunes that take us on a vertigo inducing reel around European and American acoustic traditions delivering with a jagged, punky and irresistible edge. That three guys from Glasgow could conspire to create such an immense sound between them is not unprecedented, but to achieve this with such lyrical and instrumental flair is a rare, rare thing' Neil McFadyen, Folk Radio UK
