    Description

    The Irish Affair

For music aficionados, sailors, and all who love the sea

Set sail with The Lapins a world class trio of musicians who combine the traditions of folk and contemporary classical music with improvisations, storytelling and poetry for the modern age. The Irish Affair is the song-telling of a recent sailing voyage the trio made across the Celtic Sea to West Cork; of moonlight and phosphorescence and the soft airs of Southern Ireland.

Their programme is woven from the music of many times: from Schubert to Villa Lobos and the English premiere of a new work inspired by the sea. With log book readings and poetry from Louis MacNeice, Auden and Yeats the trio capture moments between heartbeats that become lifetime memories.
