    You love dogs, you love fonts—what better way to spend an hour? Learn about type history in this fun and fast-paced tour of typography brought to you by everyone’s best friends. From the first printed Gothic typefaces to the weird and wonderful styles that chart the evolution of popular culture. This is a lighthearted introduction to the serious topic of type history, suitable for all.

    Camera on! You're encouraged to have your camera on because this is a live, interactive and social Zoom session. My sessions are created to feel like we're all in the same room together. However, if you feel uncomfortable having your camera on or have internet issues you're still very welcome to join the session.

    This event is created by Type Tasting founder Sarah Hyndman. She’s the author of the bestselling book Why Fonts Matter, a TEDx speaker, regular on BBC Radio 4 and an occasional guest on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch. She has been researching and writing about typography and perception since 2013 and co-publishes studies with Professor Charles Spence of the University of Oxford.
