Newcastle's Dave Johns has gained a reputation as an inventive, exciting and extremely funny comedian winning applause from his audiences, respect from his fellow comics and rave reviews from the critics. In 2015 Dave Johns bagged the lead in celebrated director Ken Loach’s new film I, Daniel Blake, in which he stars alongside Hayley Squires. The film is expected to debut at Cannes in Spring 2016
" Sublime, to genius, to uproar in the blink of an eye." The Guardian
" Look closely you will see the man generate sparks of magic" The List
A brilliant and hilarious youngster with a penchant for psychedelic drugs, Will Franken fled his native Missouri to seek his fame and fortune in New York City. Instead, he found bagels and the Mets. The Mets had fame and fortune already; but that wasn't enough for Franken, who wanted his own. Moving to San Francisco paid off as he quickly built a solid reputation as one of San Francisco's most original comedic acts. He established himself as a cult figure and, instead of making his fans and followers kill themselves, he elected to let them live and was consequently selected “Best Comedian” by SF Weekly and “Best Alternative to Psychedelic Drugs” by the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
"San Francisco has nurtured many of comedy's biggest names, and this guy is destined to be one of them." San Francisco Chronicle “I am still laughing.” The Scotsman
Justin Moorhouse is a Manchester born and bred comedian, presenter and actor. He spent a decade
working on the UK's biggest provincial radio show, has taken several comedy shows to the Edinburgh Fringe, toured the UK with his stand up, been nominated for his theatre acting, appeared in films (including a Ken Loach ) and won Celebrity Mastermind.
In February 2015 Justin performed to over 200 000 people in a 15 night stage version of Channel 4's Phoenix Nights. The critically acclaimed show at the Manchester Arena raised £5 million for Comic Relief. He is also a regular on both TalkSport and Radio 4's The News Quiz. He ended the year with another UK tour - 'Destiny Calling' which has been extended into 2016
Justin's quick fire stand up makes him a natural choice for compering and is much in demand for corporate work. A natural affability endears Justin to any audience and an arsenal of tightly written material firmly hedges the bet.
Justin released his first DVD 'Live In Salford' in November 2015. Filmed beofre a packed house at The Lowry Theatre, Salford Quays it's available online now at Amazon.
