    Description

Following the success of the sell-out show "One Last Look" in August 2018. Award-winning playwright Maria McAteer is delighted to return to The Irish Centre to premiere her new play "The Guinness Girl."

This moving, humorous and provocative play follows the story of a young black girl growing up in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1974 with an Irish mother. A time when prejudices were at a peak towards the Irish and all immigrants. A time when putting on her Irish dance shoes and dancing was her only escape.
