    Description

    Ladies, Gentlemen and Others,

RECTIVE in kollaboration with Fourth Dimension, Phono Erotic, Lumberton Trading Co, & Radiowave Recordings

    presents

'THE GREAT AND GLORIOUS WORLD OF FUCK'

    Thursday 23rd & Friday 24th April 2015

A TWO NIGHT FESTIVAL OF GLORIOUS NOISE, EXPERIMENTAL MUSICS, VISUALS AND INHARMONIOUS AURAL ANTICS at Bethnal Green Working Men's Club.

    THURSDAY 23RD:

CINdYTALK Long-running and forever changing live improvisational unit operating amidst a sea of gnarled digital electronics

HERCULES II: (Headbutt, Pulkas, 18th Dye, Silverfish, Midnight Mines, Atomic Suplex): schizophrenic pulsar noise, bastard heavy, maximalist dirge, steamroller relaxation hangover

THEME (Splintered, Heroin, The Fields Of Hay, Sarcasm): Textural gush beamed in from the far reaches of the universe, pulverised rhythms and a crushing sense of self-defeat at odds with a manic defiance

HASSNI & NL (The Vitamin B12): Brighton-based duo taking time out from the B12 collective to create molten abstract electronic forms from a variety of tabletop devices and gizmos

UNSONG: (In-house/ In-basement Rective gimpnoise act) disconcerting drone, sound-collage, chance and cacophony

    FRIDAY 24TH:

THE CRAVATS (The Very Things, Grimetime, DCL Locomotive, The Babymen): Dionysian avant-punk disturbance from the 20th Century blasted into the ever paranormal reality of today

SPLINTERED (Playground, Husk): '90s melding of hypnotic rock blasting, industrial textures and tormented non-vocals here for the first time since 1997 and with the original lineup

CONTRASTATE: electronic, dark ritual ambient, surrealist, industrial, experimental shot through with a vein of experimental noise and stentorian vocals

BLOOD TUB ORCHESTRA (Transglobal Underground, NONE, Curve, London Dirthole Company): a discombobulation and disintegration of music hall, parlour music and related Victorian and Edwardian filth and obscurity.

ANDREW LILES (Nurse With Wound, Current 93): perverse and deviant sound from this prolific master of the vertiginous

DIGITARIAT (Spastic Burn Victim, Hell From Above): para-noise, digital glitch, analog filth in pursuit of absolute joy against negative influences

    ///////////////////////////////////////////

ATTENTION: Infamous, cult (misprint?) noise club RECTIVE ("devoted to all things amped to the max and designed to reduce your cochlea to rubble." - Time Out) teams up with Ashley Davies (Project Dark, Headbutt, London Dirthole Company) and Richo (Fourth Dimension Records, Splintered, Playground) for a one-off two-day festival of noise / aural oddity and information overload.

Sprawling across these two days will be a dizzying, diverse and jarring collection of all that is, and should be, wrong with the term 'music'; some things old, some things new, some things borrowed and everything beaten black and blue.

WHAT IS NOISE? NOISE IS A SYNAESTHETE'S DISNEYLAND.

Advanced tickets: £12.50 per night (+ booking fee)
or £22.50 two day ticket (+ booking fee)
On the door £15.00 per night

    Venue

Bethnal Green Working Mens Club, 2 Pollard Row, E2 London
