About the Grand Prix Ball:
This year the Grand Prix Ball is back and bigger than ever before! Hosted this year by one of Formula 1's most iconic characters Sir Stirling Moss, Wednesday 1st July is the date when the Hurlingham Club will become the home of Formula 1 ahead of the infamous British Grand Prix.
Expect the glamorous black tie affair to kick off with a bang! From your first step on to the red carpet alongside the stars of Formula 1, hear the echoes of their engines as our signature F1 demonstration lights up the tarmac to kick off the evening's proceedings.
You will then be wined, dined and entertained in stunning surroundings right on the banks of the River Thames. Mix with our star-studded celebrity guest list during the champagne reception and three course dinner, then mingle amongst the stunning display of iconic Formula 1 cars whilst being entertained with live performances by award winning UK artists and DJs as we prepare for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
The Venue:
Bordering the iconic River Thames on the banks of Fulham, and set within 42 acres of magnificent grounds, The Hurlingham Club is a green oasis of tradition and internationally renowned. Recognised throughout the world as one of Britain's greatest private members' clubs, it retains its quintessentially English traditions and heritage, while providing modern facilities and services for its members.
Crowning the East Wing of the Hurlingham is the glass domed Palm Court & Orangery which has provided an elegant location for the Ball in recent years.
The Prince's Trust:
The Grand Prix Ball has always worked to raise money for a selected charity.
In 2014 we signed a long term partnership with the Prince's Trust, a youth charity founded in 1976 by The Prince of Wales, which helps disadvantaged young people.
In addition to donating a share of the profits of the Grand Prix Ball to the Prince's Trust, we will be working with young people over the coming months to give them the chance to learn and get involved with the F1 industry, which is at the pinnacle of engineering in the UK. It is expected over £100,000 will be donated to the Trust this year.
On the night there will be both a live and silent auction to further raise funds for this very worthwhile cause.
