Description
Join us for a night of excellent live music all in support of the charity The Choir with No Name.
Line-up:-
- Emma Brammer sings smooth chillout stuff. It's laid back and it's a bit jazzy and it'll do nicely if you're lounging by the pool or snuggling up by the fire. Accompanied by DJ/Producer Ben Macklin, her live set is a paired-down version of lush electronic nu soul.
- The Danny Sherwood Triage are a folk-blues trio featuring Danny on piano and vocals, Duncan Menzies on the violin and Brendan Rowley on the double bass. Their style ranges from sweeter ballads to harsher, sparser blues, with Danny's songwriting always looking at people, relationships and the complex, conflicting emotions.
- Farrago started life as the solo project of singer-songwriter Ian Bennett. His poetic and thought-provoking songs have evolved into intoxicating psychedelic folk soundscapes, characterised by a powerful layered sound and soulful vocals.
- Tiger Moth are a mighty World Indie Folk Punk collective with tunes ranging from Balkan to Middle Eastern, Hispanic to swing, often played at a dizzying speed. Hold onto your socks.
Hosted by Emma Broomfield expect warmth, fun and a night of kick-ass music. All money raised from this event will be going to support the work of The Choir with No Name. They run choirs for people that have experienced homelessness and others living on the margins. Find out more about them at www.choirwithnoname.org
We're running this event as a 'Pay What You Can/Donation' basis - but remember all proceeds are going to charity so we encourage you to be as generous as you can! As a guide, if you're low waged £5 would be great, if you're doing ok £10-15 would be smashing and if you're feeling flush £20+ would be incredible!
