Description

Learn to Improvise at The Free Association!INTENSIVELY!

At The FA, you will discover the joy of creating engaging, dynamic and hilarious work – completely on the spot! Our long-form improv training will also teach you to be funnier, bolder and more confident – all while having the most fun you may ever have in a class.

Want to be funnier? Smarter? More attractive?! You need improv!

Improvising, or 'improv', is fast becoming the most sought after skill for any actor or comedian. In the US, it has been seen as an essential part of an actor's toolkit for well over a decade, while famous improv aficionados – Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Bill Murray – continue to dominate American comedy films and TV shows such as SNL, 30 Rock and Arrested Development.

We have been lagging behind in the UK. But The Free Association is here to help…

The FA is a TimeOut-recommended improv theatre company home to the some of the most exciting improv talents in London. Our unique school aims to instruct students in the basic principles of improv and, through our course system, encourage students to create their own vibrant, spontaneous work.

The skills you will develop – listening, teamwork, confidence, creativity – should be seen as vital to any performer, but more importantly, you will experience the sheer joy of playing with other people and the pleasure that comes with performing in the moment.
