Date

Jun 23 2016 19:00 - 21:30

Description

This 2hr taster session will give you an insight into what it's like learning to Improvise at The Free Association!

At The FA improv training courses, you will discover the joy of creating engaging, dynamic and hilarious work – completely on the spot! Our long-form improv training will also teach you to be funnier, bolder and more confident – all while having the most fun you may ever have in a class.

Improvising, or ‘improv’, is fast becoming the most sought after skill for any actor or comedian. In the US, it has been seen as an essential part of an actor’s toolkit for well over a decade, while famous improv aficionados – Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Bill Murray – continue to dominate American comedy films and TV shows such as SNL, 30 Rock and Arrested Development.

If you decide to take up a full course after the taster (www.TheFreeAssociation.co.uk/classes) , we will deduct your £15 from the registration fee!

The FA is a TimeOut-recommended improv theatre company home to the some of the most exciting improv talents in London. Our unique school aims to instruct students in the basic principles of improv and, through our course system, encourage students to create their own vibrant, spontaneous work. The skills you will develop – listening, teamwork, confidence, creativity – should be seen as vital to any performer, but more importantly, you will experience the sheer joy of playing with other people and the pleasure that comes with performing in the moment.

Class starts at 7:00pm | Places are limited so book quickly | Any questions email hello@thefreeassociation.co.uk

Venue

Comedy Room, above The Lord Stanley, 51 Camden Park Rd, NW1 9BH London

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
