Description

Join the legendary Jim McEwan during the Islay Festival for an evening of storytelling, insight, and some of the most magnificent Islay single malts ever bottled.

To mark the start of the construction of Ardnahoe Distillery, Hunter Laing & Co Ltd. decided to give Ardnahoe Production Director Jim McEwan the opportunity to select his favourite Islay malts from their warehouses. After much sampling and consideration, Jim chose six different malts which in his view are among some of the finest Islay whiskies he has ever tasted. The six chosen whiskies, all bottled at cask strength, are:

1988 Bunnahabhain (28yo) (Sherry)

1987 Bowmore (30yo)

1983 Caol Ila (33yo) (Sherry)

1987 Laphroaig (30yo)

1991 Ardbeg (26yo)

1982 Port Ellen (34yo)

Following a welcome and introduction from Hunter Laing & Co Managing Director Stewart Laing, Jim will lead the audience in a tasting of his six chosen whiskies. He will also reflect on his career to date, and for the first time ever give detailed insight on what he intends to create at Ardnahoe. It will be clear to every connoisseur of Islay whisky that this is the must attend occasion of the Festival - truly an event not to be missed.

There will be two opportunities to attend this event - Tuesday 30th May, and Thursday 1st June. Both events will begin at 7pm.

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.
