/// THE FAMILY RAIN ///
The band released their Jim Abbiss produced debut album Under The Volcano in 2014 - it was full of iron riffs, innovative percussion, and clever wordplay that pulled their classic rock afflictions into juggernauting modern day grooves.
Live they are something else – a three pronged attack of ferocious sound blended with insidious melodies. They exhude a noise and intensity that could only be produced by three brothers who know each other inside out.
The band is raring to go with their as-yet-untitled new album, recorded at Rockfield Studios with producer and close friend Tom Dalgety (Royal Blood, Turbowolf). Once more, The Family Rain’s nagging melodies combine with heavy, metallic riffs to produce searing rock music of intelligence and wit.

/// THE WELL ///
For those of you keeping your finger on the pulse of the Nordic music scene, The Well may already be familiar to you. The Well are TJ (drums), Andrew (bass), Ollie (guitars), Oliver (keys), led by Freddy (lead singer). Born and raised on the west coast of Norway just outside the buzzing city of Bergen, as much of The Well’s story begins now it began a decade ago.
With influences form Arcade Fire and Haim to The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, their bond formed early, growing up together and going to the same school.
The seed of an idea led to the guys forming a band with little experience of playing instruments. Fast forward 2006 and the guys started their first gigs around Norway and then in 2012 were spotted by seasoned Norwegian music manager, Geir Luedy, of MADE, one of Scandinavia’s leading music management agencies.
Seeing the raw potential, Geir guided and let the band grow within – the result, epic pop – authentic, true, with the potential to have that seismic moment as AHA did three decades ago. Confident but vulnerable, this is a band that dreams big.
/// SAMUEL JACK ///
We're talking rugged soulful vocal that command the room. Raised on a diet of Blues, Motown, soul and roots music, Samuel was born in London, before moving to Johannesburg at the age of 12. Now settled in Dorset, writing and recording in a caravan (where he lives), Samuel is releasing his debut EP in June 2016. The songs on the EP were refined on the battered piano in his local pub, often in front of the regulars in return for a tab; Samuel was literally singing for his supper. The EP, intended as an acoustic introduction to Samuel’s music, will be followed by a full album release in late 2016.
For those who can’t wait that long, stream EP opener, a live acoustic version of ‘Making It Rain’ here: http://smarturl.it/SJmirAc
Last year Sam had the privilege of opening The Avalon Stage at Glastonbury Festival and he’s been wowing audiences at a string of private clubs in Los Angeles & London. This year he'll be appearing at a special Sofar Sounds show on May 15th, as well as performing at the Innocent Unplugged Festival with more dates still to be confirmed. Recently championed by BBC Introducing, Samuel has also had his music featured on a number of US TV shows, including most recently Nashville, Satisfaction, About A Boy and Grimm. And having shared the stage this past few months with established artists like Grand Master Flash and the rising talents of Izzy Bizu, Samuel Jack's live show is adapting seamlessly to both his audience and his surroundings - passionate and distinctly emotive. Check out his ‘Live from my Caravan’ sessions via his Facebook profile to see for yourself.
