Description
The Drouthy Cobbler's monthly comedy club returns with another great line up of Scotland's best stand up comics.
This month the line-up includes the fantastic Jojo Sutherland as our MC. This charismatic comic performs in comedy clubs worldwide where she is in as much demand for her compere abilities as she is for her comedy routine. Her natural stage presence alongside her "healthy neglect" attitude to life proves extremely popular amongst many and varied audiences.
“A performer the audience could have watched all night” - The Herald
“Outclassed her colleagues.” - Evening News
“Deliciously cruel…The best antidote to mewling rugrats” - The Herald
“A very funny lady well versed in the art of comedy” one4review
The first act of the evening is Joe McSloy. Joe is a poster boy for those who have aspirations to aspire. He works tirelessly, writes constantly and applies himself 100%.
“I can see why Joe is highly regarded. His energy is matched by his skilful writing and his overall delivery is as good as I’ve seen from anyone at the highest level” – Stephen Hamilton (comedian)
Two middle acts include Megan Shandley and one other tbc.
Headlining the evening is club favourite Keir McAllister. Keir started stand up in April 2004 when he entered the Dundee heatof the Jongleurs J20 Last Laugh Competition. Despite it being his first ever gig, he won and went on to win the Scottish final and found himself doing his third ever gig to over 1000 people in Londons Criterion Theatre, Piccadilly Circus. He came runner up.. He was a finalist in Scottish Comedian Of The Year 2008 and 2009 and Winner of best radio/TV comedian and best comedy writer at the 2016 Scottish Comedy Awards.
"a gifted comedian destined for much bigger things" - Edinburgh Evening News

"McAllisters rapier wit is a joy to behold" - Threeweeks
"...mighty stage presence and impressively high punchline ratio" - The Scotsman
