Description
‘All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.’
What Tolstoy was talking about here was conflict. For a story to be interesting, it must have conflict within it; a happy and contented family is lovely in real life, but we want to see more in fiction. Every story worth its salt has some sort of conflict in it.
In this workshop, we will briefly look at conflict – external and internal – and how it can energise character and plot.
This two-hour workshop is aimed at all writing abilities.
