    Delve into the atmospheric world of Arnold Bax, Herbert Howells and their Elizabethan forebears in the stunning surroundings of St Gabriel’s Church in Pimlico. The centrepiece of this concert will be Bax’s stunning carol 'Of A Rose I Sing', for choir, harp, cello, and double bass, written in response to the Easter Rising of 1916.

    The Carice Singers are comprised of some of the UK’s finest young singers, noted for their “freshness of tone” and “careful musicality” (Gramophone). Named after the daughter of Sir Edward Elgar, the choir is led by its Founder and Conductor George Parris in its commitment to bring a passionate and imaginative approach to a range of remarkable choral music, specialising in the works of British Romantic composers.
