Description

The Botanist, Islay’s first and only dry gin will be offering a wild experience like no other at Taste Festive this year, bringing Islay to London. Treat your senses to a unique gin, handcrafted and distilled on the Isle of Islay.

The Botanist is a truly exceptional gin and a representation of the region’s progressive heritage. Nine classic gin botanicals are augmented by 22 local herbs and flowers, all foraged responsibly by hand from the hills, shores and bogs of the Hebridean Island by botanical scientists. Whether it’s a classic The Botanist and Tonic that takes your fancy or a festive foraged cocktail, The Botanist will be offering a host of seasonal serves at its bar – bringing Islay to the festive edition of Taste of London from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th November.

Explore the botanicals of The Botanist Gin and pick your own garnish with The Botanist’s foraging table, which will display a selection of botanicals – a Taste of London Festive Edition exclusive.

The Botanist Gin also invites customers to meet a host of special guests including Brand Ambassador Abigail Clephane, Chef Craig Grozier and Forager John Rensten. Learn the story behind the gin and how it came about through a series of masterclasses, including foraging and food pairing masterclasses. Craig Grozier will also be serving a host of seasonal canapé concoctions, from Smoked Haddock, Porridge & Green Juniper to Vacherin with Pine, Rosehip & Apple.

Each masterclass ticket costs £10 and includes two The Botanist drinks.

Dates and times of these are below and these can be bought with or without a Taste Festive ticket. Please arrive five minutes before the masterclass starts. If you've already bought a ticket to Taste, head to The Botanist stand to purchase a masterclass ticket!

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?
