THE ART OF .........
Another 5 session series entitled The Art of..." complements the "How to Do..." workshops perfectly, shifting from technical steps to creative vision and inspiration for the Digital Imaging Workshop crowd. It features five artists sharing their artistic approaches.
Running from June through to December.
Series Highlights
Les Forrester explores architectural photography's artistic essence, emphasising composition, light play, and structural storytelling to elevate buildings beyond documentation.
Polina Plotnikova brings us “Small World” a talk exploring the fascinating world of artist ball-jointed doll photography, with the aim of challenging public perceptions of art dolls and the creative and practical aspects of photographing them, from scaling the lighting to sourcing props and building believable miniature worlds.
John Miskelly shows us Printing, the vital final stage of the creative process, where we transform our digital image into a fine art print. One which is a tangible object with its own unique texture, depth, and permanence. Creating a gallery-quality print requires more than just hitting "print"; it is a meticulous workflow. In this session, John Miskelly, who is a Canson Infinity Ambassador, will walk you through his process.
Emma Campbell reveals the creative nuances of horse photography, blending motion capture, environmental context, and equine expression for dynamic portraits.
In an introduction to the world of ICM Rose Atkinson will take you on a voyage of discovery starting in the 1930s and show you how intentional camera movement (ICM) can capture the essence of a place or a moment in time, create abstracts, painterly impressions, and see the world differently. I explain how to set up your camera and how to use ICM in many different ways. The talk is illustrated with some inspiring images from ICM photographers across the globe, as well as my own work, including my ARPS panel of Wells Cathedral.

The event may be recorded and published. By joining the event you are deemed to consent to our making a recording of the event available online afterwards.
Cancellation policy
If circumstances beyond our control cause cancellation of the online event you will be reimbursed. It is for each attendee to ensure they are able to view this presentation online. It may not be possible for the host/organiser to rectify any problems attendees may have. For that reason, it is in your best interest to satisfy yourself that you can communicate via Zoom before the event. No refund will be available if you are unable to attend the meeting for any reason.

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your THE ART OF....A SERIES in 5 Sessions tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
