    Description

London Cooking Project is proud to present Zev Robinson’s 'The Art and Politics of Eating' - an exploration into the relationship between food, wine, culture, art and sustainability.

The project, also on tour in the US, both examines and breaks down boundaries between various aesthetic experiences and art forms, transforming restaurants into cinemas and art installations and galleries into dining and living rooms.

'Spanish Grapes' and 'Spanish Gold' - Sat 11th June, 7pm

The first event at London Cooking Project will feature an installation of Zev Robinson's paintings about food and the screening of two short documentaries, 'Spanish Grapes' and 'Spanish Gold', which examine the production of olive oil and the history and culture of wine in Spain.

A 6-course tapas menu to match the documentaries will be prepared by resident LCP chef Monica Gil Ruiz of amba chefs. A glass of paired wine will be served with each course and is included in the ticket price.

'Vivanco - Love and Wine' - Thurs 30th June, 7pm

The second event will include a screening of 'Vivanco: Love and Wine' - an incredible rags to riches family story centering on a teenager who started delivering his family's bulk wine on a bicycle and ended up being the main provider of wine in La Rioja. He founded the world's best wine museum in the process with a collection ranging from Roman art to a Picasso.

The screening will be accompanied by a Spanish menu prepared by resident LCP chef Lou Kenny of Bobs'i'loula and will be followed by a panel discussion "Is Food Art?", hosted by Steven Gale with panelists including chef and author Oliver Rowe and Zev Robinson. A selection of Zev's paintings will also be exhibited.

All profits from the events will go back into funding our community projects at the London Cooking Project.
