Description
Join London Terrariums for a lovely Saturday morning/afternoon at Capital Gardens making your own Terrarium!
This month we will be running two Saturday workshops at Alexandra Palace Garden Centre and Neals Nurseries Garden Centre, two out of the three London garden centres managed by Capital Gardens.
Capital Gardens plays host to a range of exciting activities and workshops for Londoners of all ages and gardening experience – now including terrarium building!
Capital Gardens is the natural place for London’s gardeners, providing expert advice on a wide range of plants, garden products and best practice.
You will learn how a terrarium works - how these beautiful self-contained ecosystems survive, how to create them and how to care for them.
We will start with a short introduction explaining the history and science that goes into building a terrarium, from the different plants you can use to why activated charcoal has become so essential for us. Then it is up to you to get your hands dirty and build your own!
Your ticket price includes all the highest quality materials, supplied by Capital Garden’s and London Terrariums – this includes a glass jar, various fittonia, ivy and a variety of pebbles and moss that you can choose from.
Ask us any questions you have and by the end of the session you will be your own terrarium expert, with your own beautiful miniature garden to either take away, or give to a friend.
Go home with a bag to pop your terrarium in and also a care guide with our details on if you have any further questions.
