Having sold out every year since 2011, TEDxEastEnd in 2016 is coming to its biggest venue yet: Hackney Empire.
TEDxEastEnd brings the concept of TED Talks – ideas worth spreading, in an inspiring, powerful format – to the East End of London. Over 40 speakers and performers will take the stage throughout an all-day event full of new ideas on science, technology, human rights, history, food, art, sex and design. You’ll hear about rescuing refugees in the Mediterranean, how to predict the future, how clothes create cultural exchange, humankind’s role in nature – and the personal story of a local boy who achieved national fame on The Voice.
This event goes beyond just what’s happening on stage. In the intervals and around the venue will be interactive experiences giving you the chance to join in the TEDx journey yourself. And you’ll have the chance to meet our speakers and discuss their ideas in more depth.
TEDxEastEnd’s theme ‘Society Beyond Borders’ brings together world-changing ideas from around the globe with local stories told by, and embedded in, the East End community. I have not received my TEDxEastEnd ticket via email. What should I do?
The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your TEDxEastEnd tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your TEDxEastEnd tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

I wish to cancel my TEDxEastEnd ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?
The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. Where do I find a link to an online event?
