New Year gig programme:


Calling all parents who are missing going to gigs in the evening. From the organisers of the renowned Tots Tunes, Tea + a gig is a monthly morning series of acoustic gigs for parents, and babies with discerning musical taste!

Bringing to the stage an eclectic mix of talented musicians from the London world, jazz and
folk music scene, every month we programme a new artist/band. These are gigs to
be enjoyed by listening, appreciative audiences of parents and tots alike.

This winter/spring season, Tea + a gig presents an all female line up of strings and
voices, with twists of Transylvanian folk, Balkan song, Indian classical
melodies and contemporary improvisation.

Audience say " Wonderful to hear real, live music and share this with out little ones"


When: the first Tuesday of every month

Time: Venue opens 10.45am - gig starts 11am

Autumn 2017 Venue: The Old Church, Stoke Newington Church Street, N16 9ES

Tickets: £8 advance/ £10 on the door cash only - with FREE cuppa tea included! (little ones free)

Performing on Tuesday February 6th:

Duo Folclore - Folky-classical violin duo Alice Barron and Fuensanta Zambrana Ruiz explore a concoction of traditional music, folk-inspired classical duets and improvisations. They present their own arrangements of music from their English and Spanish roots, as well as delving into the compositional minds of Béla Bartók, Luciano Berio and Astor Piazzolla.

Fran & Flora described as "A string duo bound for glory..." DJ Max Reinhardt, BBC 3 Late Junction, and Balladeste join forces for this special double string duo gig.

Performing on Tuesday April 3rd:

Francesca Ter-Berg and Dee Byrne

Francesca Ter-Berg (cello) and Dee Byrne (Saxophone) present a live improvised set which seeks to explore the natural resonances of their instrument and the space around them. The performance will be interspersed with elements of audience participation, creative improvisation games and talk about some of their techniques and approaches to improvisation.

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

    The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
