    Description

DACS is delighted to host Turner Prize nominated artist Tai Shani in conversation with curator Rosie Cooper at the Soho Hotel on Friday 4 October 2019.

Tai Shani is a London-based artist, whose diverse practice spans installation, sculpture, performance, writing and filmmaking. Her celebrated works include the project DC Productions (2014-2018), a series that draws inspiration from the 1405 proto-feminist text City of Ladies by Christine de Pizan (pictured above).

Join us to hear Shani discuss the inspirations behind her varied work and her recent nomination for the Turner Prize 2019. She will be joined in conversation by Rosie Cooper, co-curator of Still I Rise: Feminisms, Gender, Resistance, Act 2 and Head of Exhibitions at De La Warr Pavilion.
