    Description

Tahuna Breaks have always encompassed a rich diversity of musical genres and styles. With live configurations of between six and ten members the group's live act is energetic, raw and large and is influenced by artists as varied as James Brown to Daft Punk. The band are well known for being unafraid to mix genres and have honed their sound on the live stage that encompasses funk, disco, soul, live electronics and roots.

Since inception 10 years ago, the bands natural trajectory has seen them focus on the addictive rhythmic elements that get audiences moving. By their own definition they are a 'Party Band' who do whatever it takes to create an escapist and euphoric experience for their audience.
Regulars at major events, festival appearances have included: Jarasum International Jazz Festival (South Korea), Homelanz (UK), Moomba Water and Caloundra Music Festivals (Australia), Big Day Out, Splore and Rhythm and Vines (New Zealand) plus many other major festivals across both New Zealand and Australia, along with countless tours and sold out performances.

In May 2014 the band released a new single 'Hold You' through Warner Music with backing vocals by Sharlene Hector (Bassment Jaxx) and are busy mixing a new live album and DVD for release in early 2015.
