SZJERDENE has a voice both earthly in its soul and celestial in its purity. Soothingly familiar it may be to some but never has it been so distilled into an artistic statement of sonic and visual intent. Following up critically acclaimed work as a lead vocalist and co-writer for Lapalux and Bonobo respectively, Szjerdene is now destined for solo stardom.
Growing up in East London, but now residing along the scenic canals of Amsterdam, Szjerdene has been quietly honing her luscious take on the craft for the past few years and turning heads around the globe.
With an impressive range of strings to her bow, the first official ‘Patchwork EP’ dropped in 2013 via Ninja Tune and the soulful songstress has since been touring with Bonobo and his ‘The North Borders’ album playing 175 headline dates and festivals for 18 months. Big things are coming for the artist with a body of new material in the pipeline, abstract in story yet with an accessible heartbeat and that truly mesmeric voice... Szjerdene’s unique mix of soul and folk inflected vocals combined with electronic left field sounds, is about as seductive as it gets.
The time has come to present Szjerdene’s second EP in its blissful entirety, including two brand new singles co-written with Lapalux, ‘Abode’ and ‘Glass Age’. The ‘Paragon’ EP, is composed of six original tracks, each unraveling its own related tale of love, loss and self-discovery. Calling upon some of electronic music’s most exciting producers, including Quays, Glen Nicholls, and Lapalux, Szjerdene's spellbindingly pure voice and stirring melodies collide seamlessly with their own signature frameworks, resulting in a sublime, immersive collection. Since performing and writing with Bonobo on his ‘The North Borders’, and with Lapalux for ‘Closure’ earlier this year (also included in this body of work), Szjerdene has evolved into a solo force of nature throughout 2015. William Arcane always has his ear to the ground when it comes to emotive, heartfelt electronic music. He crafts his music in his studio in South East London, pursuing songs that connect on a deeper level. He has released two highly acclaimed EPs on Pictures Music, receiving widespread support from the likes ofFader, Stereogum, Pigeons & Planes, DIY, Dummy and more. The releases also caught the attention of many electronic heroes including Jamie XX, Sohn, Bonobo, John Talbot, Gilles Petersen and more, who have all featured his music on the radio and in mixes. He also recently supported Glass Animals on their sold out EU tour. William Arcane is building a strong reputation as an exciting new name in electronic music and there is much anticapation for his next release, which he is currently writing, due for release in early 2016.

E.M.M.A.'s first release in 2012 was a 12" two track EP for Wavey Tones entitled Rainbow Dust pt II/ Dream Phone.
Her debut album, Blue Gardens LP, was released on Keysound in 2013 .
She has since worked on a number of productions, including the audio visual project "Light Years" (released on Keysound Recordings) as well as remixes for Deptford Goth and Coyote Records.
Her Boiler Room debut in 2014 cataloged a number of her own unreleased productions.
E.M.M.A. has curated two Emerald City London club nights with fellow dj/producers Parris and Etch
