Description

Swing Punks

" A superbly entertaining evening...."

" Mad, bonkers but 100% fab...."

"Totally unique.. sensational...a triumph...." are a few words that have been used to describe the Swing Punks debut shows in London.

Richmond based producer and composer Chris Bemand has created an extraordinary Big Band set that takes the classic punk songs far away from their angry, safety pin and spitting roots, and turned them into a jazzy, funky and fun, big band extravaganza .

He said: Its been an amazing journey restructuring these songs of my youth. Once you cut through the nastiness, you'll find incredible songs with great lyrics.. Even if you don't like punk or jazz I hope you'll love this show".

Swing Punks features a star studded 20 piece band drawn from Londons finest jazz musicians :

Vocals: James Lawrence, Manuela Panizzo, Giulia Joni Marelli,

Saxes: Aaron Liddard, Dom Pusey, Claude Werner, Tracey Mendham, Josef Stout,
