🎟 Free Session – Registration needed

As one of the most polluting industries in the world, fashion is at a tipping point. This session explores how the sector can lead the way toward systemic transformation—rethinking material use, reducing fossil-based inputs, adopting circular models, and empowering all actors in the value chain.

Sustainability in fashion is no longer optional. It’s about embedding responsibility at every step—from design and production to consumption and disposal. By aligning education, business, and innovation, we can shape a future where fashion becomes a model of regeneration.

🎙 Speakers:

🔹 Ana Silva Tavares – CEO of RDD Textiles, leading sustainable innovation in textiles with a deep commitment to environmental responsibility and technological advancement.

🔹 Erik Valvring – Innovation Strategist at Science Park Borås, with extensive experience in circular economy and circular business models. Erik has played a key role in high-impact initiatives such as CircularMovement and CircularHub, supporting companies to shift toward sustainability through innovation platforms, public-private collaboration, and agile experimentation.

🔹 Anna-Karin Sundelius – Senior Policy Advisor for Textiles at the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC), Sweden’s largest environmental NGO. She works to shift norms, incentives, and policy frameworks toward more sustainable consumption and resource use. With a background in the fashion industry, Anna-Karin held various roles at H&M Group across product development, supply chain, and sustainability, ultimately serving as Circular Strategy Lead.

🔹 More speakers to be announced soon!

👥 Facilitator:

🔹 Graziela Sousa – Researcher and Fashion Design educator at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Lisbon. Graziela is known for bridging fashion, entrepreneurship, and sustainability—coordinating projects at ModaLisboa (Lisbon Fashion Week) and empowering the next generation of creative professionals.

Organiser

We are organizing an action day that will take place aligned with the UN World Environment Day (5th of June). This year’s theme is “Ending Plastic Pollution”, and we are bringing together different businesses, experts, NGOs, etc. to discuss and brainstorm solutions to sustainability challenges brought by organizations. But here is the twist: because this is a complex challenge, attendees can only participate if they have attended in advance 4 modules of online training:

  • Module 0: Elements of Sustainability-driven Innovation & Introduction to the Initiative (Free access)

  • Module 1: Innovation Strategy & Regulation

  • Module 2: Decarbonization & the Circular Economy

  • Module 3: AI & Innovation for Sustainability

This Action Day will take place simultaneously in Portugal, Austria and Sweden, as well as online. Our aim is to create a movement of concrete actions, our target is to have +500 participants and upskill +100 organizations!https://www.globalgreenactionday.com/

Our aim is to generate change by producing quick wins that can show businesses that there is value in sustainability-driven innovation!
