Surrey Care Trust 40th Anniversary - Classical Concert

GBP 5.00 - GBP 10.00

May 28 2022 17:00 - 20:00

Family Concert
Fun for children and adults of all ages. Join Eralys and her musical friends for an afternoon to fire your imagination and celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Surrey Care Trust.

To start things off, your children will be invited to see the instruments up close, find out how they work and maybe even have a go! Afterwards, you’ll hear the musicians perform a variety of pieces including Saint-Saëns’s much-loved suite The Carnival of the Animals. This musical menagerie is packed with braying donkeys, bouncing kangaroos, a serene swan and an aquarium of glittering fish and features a new musical piece specially composed for this concert by Eralys Fernandez based on a story written by Hannah Burrows. The piece is called Carmen and the Witch.

We will also have the opportunity to listen to Scheherazade by Rimsky Korsakov arranged for piano 4 hands.
