EDIVALDO ERNESTO's INTENSIVE

Edivaldo's workshop will be divided in two sections: a morning technique class and an afternoon lab.

Morning Class: Flying Low

This dance technique created and developed by David Zambrano, focuses mainly on the dancer’s relationship with the floor.
The class utilizes simple movement patterns that involve breathing, speed and the release of energy throughout the body in order to activate the relationship between the center and the joints, moving in and out of the ground more efficiently by maintaining a centered state.
There is a focus on the skeletal structure and the senses that will help improve the dancers physical perception and alertness.

Afternoon Lab

“Depth movement” is an intense and dense workshop.

It’s about energy, breaking limits in order to find an innovation.

It aims to question the self through improvisation and to create new qualities of movement to enrich the dancer's vocabulary.

With the introduction of Depth the participants practice:

Transformations and adaptations,
Implosions,
Recycling of energy,
Rhythms,
Multi- directional movement,
Micro narrative,
and how to be effective and unpredictable with their movements.

Edivaldo Ernesto (Mozambique/DE), Dancer, Teacher, Choreographic, improvisation expert. Mozambican background and western Africa traditional dance influence. Performances and improvisation with David Zambrano, assistant teacher for Flying Low and Passing Trough technique. Teaching across Europe, former member of Sasha Waltz and Guests company.
