Don Papa Rum, the premium single island rum from the Philippines, has unveiled a spectacular new 360° animation at London's The Now Building, the immersive entertainment space boasting the world's largest high-resolution wrap-around screens and a futuristic live event venue.
The panoramic animation, entitled’ Sugarlandia is Calling’ was exclusively created for the brand by acclaimed artist and animator Mischa Ying. Inspired by and depicting the island of Negros Occidental in the Philippines, Sugarlandia (the island’s local name) is a timeless place where nature is still the dominant force.
Ying, who has worked with the brand since 2018, says: "Sugarlandia represents a magical-realist state of mind. It is like living in a dream where you often have to look twice to be certain of what is happening, and time seems to go back as well as forward. Odd, but marvellous things can occur, and it is all too easy to become entranced, which is what I hope every single viewer feels when they see the animation.”
