    Description

Stronger on Sundays (S.O.S) is a Zoom and live-streamed music and discussion broadcast hosted by singer, songwriter and performer, Melissa James.  It was formed on the basis that Melissa wanted to engage with those people who she knew could share the wisdom of their experience and learnings which could be positive and helpful to others at this time of global challenge.

Our guest this week is Russell Oliver Stone who is a singer/composer, transpersonal psychotherapist, integrative counsellor and a Nada Yoga teacher.

    In Russell's words:

"The theme I am working with is: The Dual Nature of Human Beings - The Problem with this and Possible Solutions

"Part of my work is working with Sounding, a way of singing that is without words and is totally improvisational. This has the effect of making a direct connection with the unconscious in a healing way.

Part of the effect is to facilitate the shift out of body/ego consciousness towards and into the higher self, unity consciousness.

This may be understood by considering humans to be dual-natured. On the one hand the personality.  On the other, the soul.

Sounding gives us direct experience so that we can have a choice in this.  Who would you rather be?"

You Are Invited to the S.O.S Zoom Room

This online space is an invitation open to all. Anyone who joins this Zoomed production is welcome to sit and listen or to directly participate by sharing their thoughts or by asking questions. Music will be provided by Melissa alongside guitarist, Neil Hendry.

**Important Note: A word on Zoom**

    - In order to join the S.O.S Zoom Room, registration is necessary.  This is due to online security to help maintain a "safe" space on Zoom.

    - The minimum amount required in order to register is £1.  Upon registering, you will receive login details which will be required to join the S.O.S session for which you have registered.

    - To help maintain safety online, only one person may register their details at any one time (multiple registrations on behalf of others are not enabled).

    Voluntary Giving: Dana

In Buddhist terms, "Dana" is generous giving. Stronger on Sundays (S.OS.) has come together to create a place for positive and enriching talks from those experienced in their field.

The guest speakers, the musicians and the creator of S.O.S are giving of their time and energies in pulling together this event. We all understand that this is a financially difficult time for many.  It is not the aim of S.O.S organiser to leave anyone reluctant to join the session due to lack of funds. However, if you feel able to make an additional financial contribution, this will be gratefully received and most welcomed by all those involved.  You can, therefore, register by paying a contribution of:

    - £1 (the minimum required)

    - £5

    - £10

    - An amount that you wish to contribute

Stronger on Sundays is part of SING4SANE, Melissa's Big Sing and mental health initiative.
