Performance storytelling is enjoying a revival. Have you always wanted to try storytelling, but don't know where to start?
Join Ronnie Conboy and Lisa Schneidau for an informal half-day workshop on how to start traditional storytelling. Aimed at adult beginners, this workshop will give you some pointers on what makes a good story, some inspiration on where to find stories, and some experience of telling (without notes!). We will have some fun playing with various story types, and discover how storytelling lies very close to the surface of our everyday lives. This workshop is aimed at adults (16+).
We will be upstairs at the Dartmouth, and refreshments will be available at the bar. You may also want to come along to the Story Slam at the Dartmouth that evening (see separate event listing).
This event is hosted by South Devon Storytellers, who run a regular storytelling night in Totnes. It's part of the Summerlands Storytelling Festival www.summerlandsfestival.co.uk, funded by Arts Council England.
