    Description

Join us for a unique photographic experience that quite literally takes you back in time! The Black Country Living Museum—with its cobbled streets, vintage shops, and costumed characters—offers the perfect setting to capture the spirit of a bygone era.

Led by Bruno Vinel, this workshop invites photographers of all levels to slow down, observe, and develop their storytelling and compositional skills in one of the Midlands’ most atmospheric heritage sites. Whether you’re shooting digitally or bringing along your analogue camera to match the vintage surroundings, you’ll find endless inspiration in the museum’s rich textures, period details, and timeless scenes.

After the walk, participants are invited to an online review session on 22 July (19:00–20:30) to share their images, discuss their creative approach, and receive feedback from Bruno and fellow photographers. A curated selection of images will also be included in a photo book celebrating the event.

Please note: Entry to the museum is not included in your RPS workshop ticket. You will need to purchase a separate entrance ticket directly from the Black Country Living Museum. See current prices at bclm.com/plan-your-visit/prices.

Explore, create, and reconnect with photography’s timeless craft—one frame at a time.

Bruno Vinel is a RPS volunteer and Central Region organiser. Discover his photography work at https://brunovinel.com/studio .
