Check out Katie's hilarious take on hen do's here!
Lancashire comedian, Katie Mulgrew really likes making people laugh. It’s kinda her thing.
She gigs all over the country in comedy clubs doing just that, to mostly success. She also makes her Mum laugh loads.
She’s done lots of lovely things whilst being a comedian like being tour support for The Boy With Tape On His Face and Vikki Stone. She has written for The News Quiz and you can hear her dulcet Northern tones featured on the BBC Radio 2 documentary series, The history of British comedy.
She got to be very silly indeed on a couple of episodes of the CBBC show, The Dog Ate My Homework. She recently co-hosted a TV pilot on ITV2 called Lovefix.
She won the inaugural 2015 Liverpool Hope playwriting prize and is currently working with the Liverpool Royal Court Theatre and Unity theatre in bringing her play to the stage.
Katie sometimes hosts her own podcast called ‘The FunnyGirl Podcast’ in where she enthusiastically discusses Musicals with guest stand up comedians. She is one third of the ‘Animates’ podcast with fellow stand ups Tony Jameson and Jim Smallman about their favourite childhood cartoons.
Katie has performed three solo stand up shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and is currently working on her next show when she’s not consumed with trying to keep the new human she has made alive.

See Paul bring the house down at the London Palladium here!
Medically qualified Paul Sinha is now a critically acclaimed international stand up comedian of many years standing who first achieved media recognition in 2006 when his solo show Saint or Sinha was nominated for the If.comedy (formerly Perrier) award at the Edinburgh Festival. Since then he has been something of a fixture on Radio 4 with the series Paul Sinha’s Citizenship Test and Paul Sinha’s History Revision as well as one off shows on cricket, the 2012 Olympics and Magna Carta.
He has also made frequent appearances on Radio 4 favourites News Quiz, Just a Minute, and The Now Show and has registered several victories on Radio 5’s feisty weekly sports panel show Just a Minute.
As a live comic, Paul has performed several extremely well received solo shows, has had two national tours, performed in Beijing, Munich, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Tokyo as well as many non Olympic cities across the globe. He appeared in the first two series of the Stewart Lee curated tv show Alternative Comedy Experience and in 2014 Paul was voted “Best Club Comedian” in the annual Chortle Awards.
In addition to this Paul has carved out a further career as a professional quizzer, attaining grandmaster status in 2014, reaching a career high UK ranking of 7 in 2015. Since 2011 Paul has been one of the regular “Chasers” on ITV’s award-winning quiz show The Chase.

ACT 2 – CAIMH MACDONNELL
Caimh talks about his move to the UK from Ireland
Caimh McDonnell is an award-winning stand-up comedian, author and writer of televisual treats.
In his time on the British stand-up circuit, he has firmly established himself as the white-haired Irishman whose name nobody can pronounce. He performs regularly at all the major clubs and is equally at home doing a set or acting as MC. He regularly supports Sarah Millican on tour and has also brought the funny worldwide, doing stand-up tours of the Far East, the Middle East and once, the near east (Norwich). He brings a new stand-up show to the Edinburgh festival pretty much every year, mainly as an excuse to eat things that’ve been deep fried.
His debut novel ‘A Man With One of Those Faces’ is about to be published. He considers it the best thing he has ever done. He also created the irreverent live show Panelbeaters with Gary Delaney, which is soon to take up monthly residencies at the Comedy Store Manchester and The Stand Newcastle. It will then be podcasted out to mankind in general in a last desperate attempt to fend off nuclear war.
When not doing all that, Caimh is in great demand as a writer for TV. He has recently worked on the hit BBC2 show ‘The Sarah Millican Television Programme’ and written for comics on ‘Mock the Week’ and ‘Have I Got News for You’. He also works as a children’s TV writer and was BAFTA nominated for the CBBC animated series ‘Pet Squad’ which he created. He was a winner in the BBC’s Northern Laffs sitcom writing competition, where he was lucky enough to be mentored by Craig Cash and Phil Mealey of ‘Royle Family’ fame.
