Smart Money Moves - Miss Lolly aka Lisa
If you have yet to discover Miss Lolly - you are welcome, folks. In this talk, finance expert, Lisa, will cover a) how to get on the property ladder, b) what to do now to be in control of your retirement c) how to legally pay less tax and d) how much cash is the right amount to have. Who better to advise us than wealth management advisor and Founder of misslolly.com? Pens at the ready.
Vulnerable Leadership - Roxanne Hobbs, Founder of The Hobbs Consultancy, author of Diverted
In this session, Roxanne will introduce you to the research of Brené Brown. Her talk explores what vulnerability is, and isn't, and how we have bought in to the myths of vulnerability, meaning that often we avoid it at all costs - especially in the workplace. Rather than seeing vulnerability as weakness, Roxanne will explore how it is in fact courage and at the heart of what it is to be human.
The Lost Girls - Kat Ellis, Head of Planning at McCann Bristol
Underrepresentation of women in creative departments is both a creative and commercial problem for the UK advertising industry. Only 30% of all advertising creatives are female, dropping to 11% of creative directors. To help address this problem Kat conducted research into the disparity between the number of women studying creative advertising, art and design, and those that actually end up working in creative departments of advertising agencies. She has investigated why up to half of qualified female talent is lost between education and a first permanent creative role. In this talk, Kat will share her findings, but more than that, her proposed way forward so female students are more likely to enter the industry and stay there.
See you at the bar folks - tickets include a cocktail and canapés.
