Varianta propusă publicului este o formulă de spectacol inedită pentru echipa artistică a teatrului ieșean. Ea combină storytelling-ul cu animația de obiecte, într-o reprezentație în care interpreții sunt deopotrivă naratori și personaje. Carmen Mihalache, Liliana Mavriș Vîrlan, Alex Iurașcu și George Cocoș vor nara, cu mijloace specifice teatrului de animație modern, întâmplările celor doi frați rătăciți în pădure. Echipa de creatori a lucrat într-o strânsă colaborare, stârnirea creativității și apariția ideilor fiind stimulate de tehnici de improvizație colectivă.
Regizorul Ion Ciubotaru a creat „un spectacol de improvizație, în care imaginația privitorului e pusă serios la treabă. Am vrut un spectator activ, care, văzând spectacolul, să își facă propria poveste. De data aceasta am renunțat la păpuși în accepția lor tradițională și am apelat la obiecte, care își părăsesc latura utilitară și capătă valențe teatrale. Vrem să demonstrăm că în teatru ficțiunea e cel mai important lucru și că, dacă visăm, putem facem teatru din orice, cu orice.” Montarea are și o latură pedagogică importantă, pentru că, finalmente, fiecare basm conține importante elemente educațioanale.
