Description
A Taste of Wine is happy to collaborate with Instituto Cervantes and Federacion Espanola del Vino in London to introduce the best of Spain in a fantastic venue in Mayfair The Rag- the Army and Navy club. A proper dedicated tasting room "the library" will be set up to welcome our group for an exclusive tasting to remember. This is a very exclusive and special event so make sure you book quickly.
-For this first of a series of talks and wine tasting Instituto Cervantes is bringing you wines from North West Spain Valdeorras, Galicia. We will listen to a top wine critic from Spain and taste 7-9 wines in the evening... come prepared to enjoy!
- We will be welcoming Juan Manuel Bellver, director general of Lavinia Spain and one of Spain’s best-known food and wine critics for a bit of history about Spanish winemaking and introduce the new scene.
- After that Borja Prada winemaker at Bodegas Valdesil would deliver a tasting. His family has been making wine since the 1890s in Valdeorras, Galicia, and his Burgundian style shows clearly what is widely considered to be Spanish best white ever. We will taste Godello for white wines and the Mencia grape for red across various vintages for a beautiful discovery of the expression of their Terroir.
The price for this event is extremely reasonable so make sure you get your ticket before we run out. We are releasing a limited number of early bird tickets as well at only GBP12. Looking forward to seeing you there!
