Event ended

South Social goes TATE

From Free

Location

Date

Nov 17 2018 12:00 - 18:00

Description

We'd like for you to register to this free public event, so we know how many people are coming but  you do not need a ticket to gain access, and having a ticket does not guarantee you priority for workshops and performances.

WHERE

The event takes place in the Blavatnik building, the new space built next to TATE MODERN, 5th floor.

Tate Modern, Bankside, London SE1 9TG

WHAT WE’LL DO

SOUTH SOCIAL GOES TATE means that a niche festival like ours goes to the biggest art centre in the UK! We are part of SOUTHWARK SHOWCASE organised by Community Southwark. We'll be one of the many creative enterprises that will show a collective of ideas, films, work of art, dance, music and more to entertain your senses. Join us for a total free event and enjoy!

GIRLS MAKE FILMS

Celebrating WOMEN FILMMAKERS IN SOUTHWARK

This is a spoiler for our 2019 activities!

We will be screening a 30 minutes trailer made out of the best shorts by women filmmakers  in Southwark. Main topics will be  gentrification, regeneration,  diversity and creativity.

Join us for a full day of workshops, performances, film screenings and art exhibitions!

In 2019 will do even more!

We are launching a series of events that will overreach and overarch our mission. In February 2019, SOUTH SOCIAL CELEBRATES BLACK CULTURE is the trailblazer with a 2 day extravaganza in which all the main cultural associations in Peckham will gather and get a showcase of screenings, workshops, exhibits, music, dance, debates, cuisine and more all around the theme of BLACK CULTURE.

Organiser

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
