THE FILM

Close-Knit by Naoko Ogigami is a feel-good movie that deals with an unconventional family dynamic consisting of husband, transgender wife and niece, who all happen to live together. One of the first of its kind in Japanese cinema, the film will raise many questions about new families, gender boundaries, cliche identity and new fluid determination. A lively debate with Japanese experts following the screening, will give a deeper understanding of Japanese culture.

THE MUSIC

Bringing us the sounds of Japan will be Japanese singing ambassador MIOU. Her enthusiasm for music and fashion makes for a beautiful and entertaining performance. Miou has already achieved the award for "Asian Top Fashion Singer " and “Asia Pacific Inspirational Woman”.  https://www.mioujapan.com

THE FOOD

Expect a super delicious mix of sushi and sashimi crafted with care and with a variety of tastes and  textures made by the expert hands of KATSUMA, a 100% green company that believes in quality food and sustainability.   https://www.katsumajapanese.co.uk/

SAKE TASTER

A wonderful sake tasting will be offered to our guests by YUTAKA - Good Food Made Japan-Easy! as a welcome drink prior to the screening. https://yutaka.london/
