Moving Pictures Cinema, 42 Newington Causeway , SE1 6DR London

On February 2-3, join us for SOUTH SOCIAL CELEBRATES BLACK CULTURE, a big fun gathering to showcase film screenings, workshops,  exhibits, music, dance, debates, cuisine and more all around the theme of BLACK CULTURE. It’s a 2 day festival in partnership with The British Blacklist, Black History Studies, Women of the lens, Pempeople and more.

SOUTH SOCIAL CELEBRATES BLACK CULTURE is a 2 day festival in which all the main cultural associations in London will gather and get a showcase of screenings, workshops, exhibits, music, dance, debates, cuisine and more all around the theme of BLACK CULTURE.

For the first time we launched a call for film submission and we have a supercool committee that will select them, Akua Gyamfi of The British Blacklist and Jennifer G. Robinson, Women of the lens. During the festival you'll get to watch the films and meet with all of the upcoming filmmakers with a public vote at the end.
