Description

Come and learn how to get the best out of social media for business with UPPERCASE Digital. We are a local agency with proven experience of growing social media followings for media brands, small businesses and charities. While we normally offer one-to-one consultations, we have partnered with deli and work hub Culver + Nelson to offer group courses, back by popular demand following a successful run last summer.

We believe that social media is a powerful marketing and creative tool, but we also know how important it is to set realistic goals, find ways to save time and effort, and balance having a brilliant online presence with making sure you still have time to focus on your core business.

Workshop 1: Kickstarting Instagram

Wednesday 29 January

7.30-9.30pm

Culver + Nelson, Upper Richmond Road

Instagram is an incredibly powerful business tool: it’s user-friendly, popular and inspirational. This workshop will show you around the app, explain its latest features, and guide you on the best and most effective way to use it. Points we will cover include the following:

·   Why use Instagram?

·   What is the difference between the grid, Instagram Stories and IGTV?

·      How to optimise your profile page and why

·      How to schedule content so you don’t need to be ‘on’ at all times

·      A basic guide to what to post [NB this is covered in more detail in other workshops]

·      Other apps to revolutionise your Instagram game eg Linktree, Screen Recorder and Unfold

·      How do hashtags work?

·      How do sponsored posts work?

Workshop 2: Planning content for 2020

Wednesday 5 February

7.30-9.30pm

Culver + Nelson, Upper Richmond Road

Planning ahead is key to success on social media. This session will cover scheduling and ideas generation, including a focus on how to tap into big national, international and local events that are happening this year. We will also look at how to get a strategy in place for the year ahead, and how to make sure you don’t miss out on any big opportunities to find potential customers. Topics covered will include:

·      The value of tapping into trends and events

·      How to forward-plan your content and campaigns

·      How to think creatively about calendar events

·      How to blend social media with your offline activity

We will also supply you with a handy list of relevant events which will help you plan your activity for the coming year and look at examples of good practice. Half of the session will involve workshopping ideas for you to use going forward. The session is aimed at people who are already confident users of Instagram and/or attended the Kickstarting Instagram session.

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
