London album launch of Jump by Paul Roberts and Les Davidson of Sniff’n’the Tears, performed on acoustic guitars.
Paul and Les launched the Sniff'n'the Tears acoustic project with three fantastically received acoustic shows in the UK in 2018-2019. These were the first Sniff'n'the Tears live performances since 1992. The gigs were stripped back performances, opening up new creative approaches to songs new and old.
The new Sniff’n’the Tears Acoustic album Jump is a continuation of that discovery. The album includes songs from previous Sniff’n’the Tears albums, ranging from 1978’s Fickle Heart with its worldwide hit Driver's Seat, to 2017’s Random Elements as well as previously unrecorded songs.
This intimate show will be the London launch of Jump, ahead of two larger shows in the Netherlands at the end of March (upstair's at The Melkweg 27/03/20, and Luxor Live, Arnhem 29/03/20).
''Making an acoustic album with Les was a great way to really explore the songs in the way of the troubadours, off the cuff and from the heart, with less concern for ‘the arrangement’.”
