Description

Part of the S+K Project’s outreach team lead a one-of-a-kind workshop sharing methods and techniques for emerging actors, devisers, facilitators and theatre-lovers on how best to start the process of making work. With a focus of working in inclusive settings, The S+K Team will guide you through practical exercises and activities to equip you with the tools to make work for yourself and others with confidence, creativity and charisma. This is an inclusive workshop open to all backgrounds, abilities and experiences, led by David Gilbert and Monae Robinson.

David Gilbert is the Outreach Coordinator for The S+K Project, working with the team on developing outreach strategies, making new connections and leading S+K’s Youth Theatre in Tower Hamlets. Outside of this, David regularly facilitates workshops in inclusive settings with young people across the UK, as well as directing his own work which has featured at Hackney Showroom, the Southwalk Playhouse and the Tricycle Theatre. He is committed to creating opportunities for young people, and has been developing his practice throughout this decade.

Monae Robinson is a student at Goldsmith’s University, currently studying for a degree in Theatre and Performing Arts. She has had a passion for the arts from a young age and believes wholeheartedly in its power to shape the world we live in, which goes hand in hand with her role as Outreach Assistant with The S+K Project. Monae has participated in several training programmes and courses and has worked with the likes of the Young Vic and Frantic Assembly to develop her craft in recent years.

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.
