Join us at Benjamins for our fantastic Ska & Reggae night with full band. Dancing, laughter, great music and catching up with friends, what more could you want? The feeling of a great night out!
We are pleased to be able to bring Ska-Waddy to Droitwich Working Mens Club. Ska-Waddy are a Ska and Reggae duo. The night will feature a mix of Ska which is a combined musical element of Caribbean Mento and Calypso with a bit of American Jazz and Rhythm and Blues alongside Reggae, Jamaican dance music. You will be transported through the different genres of music by Mark and Natasha who are a long-established Ska and Reggae band.
Did you know that Ska evolved in the 1960s from traditional Jamaican and pan-Caribbean genres, combined with the dramatic new influences of North American rhythm and blues, jazz, and early rock ’n’ roll? Followed by the slow downed tempo of Reggae in the late 1960’s?
