Description

We rise by lifting others.

This month we're celebrating the women and men who share their power to help others rise - whether that's through mentoring, speaking up in meetings, using their bravery to help others grow, sharing their stage, or seeing the value in someone else and helping them grow.

We'll hear from inspirational women who share their power with others line up includes:

- Charlie Craggs - is an activist and author of To My Trans Sisters and founder of Nail Transphobia.Charlie was ranked #1 on the Observer's 2016 New Radicals list, a list of radical social innovators in Britain, and was also named one of the most influential and inspirational LGBT people in the UK by both the Guardian and the Independent on the Rainbow List and Pride Power List. In the words of HuffPo "Charlie has made the world more inclusive, fair and a whole lot more fun too."

- Esther Maughan McLachlan - Is a sustainability communications powerhouse with over 20 years experience advising brands like Sony and NGOs including Forum for the Future. She is now Senior Director at TCS and Director at Collectively. Esther is still breaking through in her own career but dedicates a large part of her working week to mentoring female colleagues and plays an active role in supporting other women to thrive.

- Sarah Corbett, Founder of the Craftivist Collective is an advocate for introverts and has created an entire movement dedicated to giving quieter voices a platform through craft. Her latest book "How to Be a Craftivist" is currently on tour around the UK and her TedX talk on introverted activists was talk of the day this week watched by hundreds of thousands worldwide.

As it's the festive season, we'll have a crafting station to make some cards to thank the women and men in our lives for sharing their power with us. And a special edition ''shero shop" where you can buy books and gifts that help women.

We also all have a chance to share what "power" we need from others in 2018.

A tasty feast of vegetarian and vegan sharing food included. We'll supply some mulled wine but please BYO drinks.

Arrive from 6.30. Food and talks from 7pm. Please invite friends!

Who are we?

We are peer community of women supporting each other to be the best versions of ourselves. We create safe, supportive and uplifting spaces to help ALL women feel braver, more confident and ready to take on the world. We host dinners, run retreats and do day-long workshops. We are looking for a name that meets our mission - but for now we're calling ourselves 'the shero collective'. For us a 'shero' is simply someone who is working in a small way to make the world better whether that's through food, art, tech, business, politics or their community.
