A CONTEMPORARY DANCE & VISUAL ARTS EXHIBITION
EXPLORING PERMACULTURE

Dance artist Maria Lothe brings together a collaborative group of visual artists to present 3 days of exhibition and performance inspired by permaculture in the vibrant hARTslane gallery in South East London.

The exhibition will feature an installation made from recycled materials by Iva Decheva and Devora O'Neill, illustrations by guest artist Marketa Senkyrik and performances across the weekend choreographed and performed by Maria Lothe. Come in and experience the art works, and visit our PermaCorner, where you can enjoy books and conversations.

An introduction to permaculture will be given by Tish Vail from Social Landscapes. She will introduce the basic principles of permaculture and facilitate a discussion on how we might introduce permaculture into our own communities.

Additionally we will be holding a free childrens art workshop using recycled materials with Iva and Devora on Sunday 5th November at noon (book through permadance@gmail.com).

What is permaculture?
Permaculture takes it's inspiration from observations of ecological systems and patterns in nature. Through its ethics and principles, it provides practical methods of how to develop sustainable human environments. It’s three core principles are Care for the Earth, Care for People and Fair Share. Whilst often associated with rural areas, its principles are equally applicable in urban environments.
