Seven Dials is partnering this Christmas with housing and homelessness charity Shelter. Londoners will have the chance to switch on the interactive Christmas light installation by making a donation to Shelter.
The event will be taking place on Thursday 14th
November 2019 from 5-9pm in Seven Dials. Shoppers experience a festive evening filled with free seasonal activities, live music and beautiful decorations. The Christmas light installation will feature a “Starry Night” design: 650 giant stars across the interconnecting streets of Seven Dials. The installation will provide a memorable festive experience for visitors, whilst reminding us all that sleeping under the stars remains a harsh reality for thousands of homeless people in England and Wales.
There will be a charity “tap” point located on Earlham Street, where visitors can directly donate £3 to Shelter by tapping their bank cards. Upon receiving the donation, stars at each entrance to Seven Dials will twinkle to create a special sequence of lights. The switch-on moment will be at 6:30pm, with House Gospel Choir creating an electrifying fusion of house and gospel tunes featuring a group of incredible singers and a house band and DJ.
Get a fun head start on your Christmas shopping too, as participating shops in the area will be providing a 20% discount for ticket holders – several restaurants will be offering this discount as well. Grab a free glass of prosecco from the Seven Dials Prosecco Truck and enjoy free festive activities including wreath-making and eco-friendly glitter make-overs. Neal’s Yard Remedies will be offering complimentary skin consultations and goodie bags; offers and activities can also be found at Astrid & Miyu, Benefit, Duke & Dexter and Skinny Dip amongst many others. Shelter will also have an exclusive pop-up shop providing a full line up of upcoming events and activities.
