SELF PUBLISHING 101: ZINE WORKSHOP
With Grrrl Zine
Zine making is a versatile process that can pull together ideas, encourage collaboration, function as a method of self-care and act as a vehicle for accessibility. Grrrl Zine Fair platforms the voices for marginalised people and creates spaces for women, trans and non-binary people by hosting events, fairs and workshops. This workshop is open to everyone, drop in and explore the history of zine making and contemporary zine culture.
Participants will also explore the Grrrl Zine Library and receive two mini zines which guide participants through simple paper folding to different binding techniques, as well as going away with their own A5 zine, information on printing methods and how to set up their own magazine. Paper for this workshop generously provided by GF Smith Papers.
