Discovery College are delighted to be working with Penumbra and the Self Harm Network Scotland to deliver this face to face session to help us to understand self harm. The aim of this informative and accessible training is to provide information and resources to help us improve our understanding of self-harm.
This three hour session includes some group activities and discussions and will cover the following topics
- What is self-harm?
- Who self-harms?
- How do people self-harm?
- Functions of self-harm
- Starting the conversation about self-harm
- Resources and support available
- The cycle of self-harm
- The Time Space Compassion principles
- Harm minimisation
The session is free and refreshments will be provided. Booking is required for this session
