Central Foundation Boys' School , Cowper Street , EC2A 4SH London

The people behind London's best literary event, Book Slam, have teamed up with masters of the pop-up, Cult Events, to bring an evening of fine dining, fine wine{ing} and thought-provoking entertainment in the stirring Victorian surroundings of the Central Foundation Boys’ School, Shoreditch.

An event of two parts, first up is an exclusive opportunity to enjoy dinner in the traditional setting of the school's very own dining hall. On arrival you will be treated to a welcome cocktail and canapés while enjoying some live music, before sitting down to a four-course banquet devised by Cult Events' Head Chef Ian Ballantyne. Places at dinner are extremely limited.

After dinner, and held in the beautiful Assembly Hall, we invite you to sit down and enjoy an evening of wit, wisdom & live music from some of the nation’s finest and funniest minds.

The line-up features doctor, broadcaster, academic and author of the best selling ‘Bad Science’ Ben Goldacre who will be introducing us to his new book 'Bag Pharma'; journalist Sophie Heawood who writes for the Times, Independent, Guardian & Vice; teacher turned performance poet Mark Grist; and live music from exquisite visionary vocalist ESKA. DJ, teacher, wordsmith and leader of London’s Run Dem Crew, Charlie Dark, will be host for the evening with more speakers to be announced.

A fully stocked bar will be available all evening, including number of exclusive themed cocktails created by Cult Events very own mixologist.
