Central Foundation Boys' School, Central Foundation Boys' School, Cowper Street , EC2A 4SH London

The people behind London's best literary event, Book Slam, have teamed up with masters of the pop-up, Cult Events, to bring an evening of fine dining, fine wine{ing} & thought-provoking entertainment in the stirring Victorian surroundings of the Central Foundation Boys’ School, Shoreditch.

The second School Dinners returns with more sumptuous fare to lure you away from hopscotch and conkers. On arrival at the beautiful Assembly Hall you will be treated with a welcome drink and canapés while enjoying a delicious three course meal devised by Cult Events' Head Chef Ian Ballantyne.

After dinner, we invite you to sit back and enjoy the entertainment which this term features actress and comedian Gemma Whelan [Game Of Thrones, One Man Two Guvnors] reprising her celebrated role as hilarious Headmistress, Chastity Butterworth. Our Head of Music is Matthew Herbert (Director of the BBC New Radiophonic Workshop), Head of English is Joe Dunthorne whose first novel, Submarine, became Richard Ayoade's award-winning film, and Music And Movement is in the incomparable (thank goodness) hands of Jenny Fawcett who'll teach us the 'scuff and brush'. The poet in Poetry Corner is the breathtaking Hollie McNish, with hotly-tipped singer-songwriter Fred Page leading the hymns.

A fully stocked bar will be available all evening, including number of exclusive themed cocktails created by Cult Events' very own mixologist.
